Diesel Technician / Mechanic | $22-$55/hr DOE

Location: Auburn, WA

Our client, a respected provider of construction equipment including mini-track loaders, excavators, skid steers, track loaders, tractors, and a variety of used machinery, is seeking an experienced Diesel Technician / Mechanic.

In this vital role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting both mechanical and electrical issues across a diverse range of equipment, performing necessary repairs, and scheduling maintenance work to meet customer needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on customer satisfaction, responding to service requests in a timely, professional, and courteous manner that aligns with the department’s objectives and the company’s commitment to excellence.

Diesel Mechanic Job Responsibilities


  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in construction equipment.
  • Perform repairs and conduct maintenance work on various types of machinery.
  • Schedule and manage maintenance tasks based on customer requirements.
  • Ensure all service actions meet or exceed departmental objectives and standards.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding promptly and professionally to service requests.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Keep accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and customer interactions.

Qualifications


  • Proven experience as a diesel mechanic, preferably in construction equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems in heavy machinery.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Strong commitment to customer satisfaction and quality service.
  • Good communication skills and professional demeanor.
