Our client’s company, a reputable wholesale distributor and processor of fresh and frozen seafood, is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Regional Sales Representative to join their team. With a focus on developing new business within the hospitality industry, this is an excellent opportunity to leverage your seafood experience and sales expertise to capture market share in the vibrant Los Angeles County territory.
As a Regional Sales Representative, you will be responsible for cultivating new business relationships directly with restaurants, hotels, motels, casinos, country clubs, white linen restaurants, restaurant chains, convention centers, and corporate clients. Drawing upon your in-depth knowledge of the seafood industry and experience in prospecting and managing relationships with commercial kitchens, you will actively seek out new sales opportunities to expand the company’s customer base. This is a hunter role where you will have the opportunity to build a customer portfolio from scratch and make a significant impact on market share.
Regional Sales Representative Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to target and acquire new customers within the hospitality industry, specifically focusing on restaurants, hotels, and related establishments.
- Proactively prospect for new business opportunities, leveraging your existing contacts within the seafood industry and building new relationships with key decision-makers.
- Conduct menu consulting and sales presentations to showcase the company’s high-quality fresh and frozen seafood offerings, demonstrating how they meet the unique needs of each customer.
- Collaborate closely with the operations team to ensure seamless order fulfillment and exceptional customer service.
- Continuously monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify areas for growth and stay ahead of industry developments.
- Utilize CRM software and other sales tools to track leads, manage customer interactions, and provide accurate sales forecasts.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in menu consulting and sales within the seafood industry.
- Proven track record of success in prospecting and acquiring new customers in the restaurant and hospitality sector.
- Strong understanding of commercial kitchens and their seafood procurement processes.
- A hunter mentality with the drive and determination to aggressively pursue new business opportunities.
- Existing contacts within the seafood industry and a demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
