[Heavy Machinery] Field Diesel Mechanic | $22-$45/hr DOE

Location: Lakewood, WA

They are currently seeking a highly skilled Field Diesel Mechanic to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and documenting machine repairs and information per service order, all while maintaining effective communication with customers, service advisors, and lead technicians. Field Diesel Mechanic Job Responsibilities


  • Diagnose, repair, and accurately document machine repairs and information per service order.
  • Communicate job status in progress with the customer, service advisor, and lead technician.
  • Perform accurate, complete, and documented inspections per unit.
  • Accurately document and communicate work in progress.
  • Possess and utilize adequate tooling to perform repairs safely and effectively.

Qualifications


  • Willingness to work as a team and learn how to repair different types of equipment.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with team members in a positive manner.
  • Ability to make quick and accurate decisions in the moment.
  • Proficiency in accurately documenting repairs as they are being made.
  • Skilled in utilizing tablets and cellphones for work purposes.
  • Capability to drive and operate service trucks safely.
  • 4+ years of experience in a production or fleet shop environment.
