[Commercial Lighting] Quoter / Estimator | $65K-$125K DOE

Location: Tukwila, WA

Our client, a leader in providing innovative lighting fixtures and controls, is currently seeking a dedicated Quoter/Estimator to join their inside sales team. This role is crucial for negotiating and securing projects by reviewing plans, specifications, and customer requests to generate a detailed lighting bill of materials.

Working in close collaboration with the outside sales team, the successful candidate will provide accurate budget pricing for projects and engage with manufacturers to obtain precise product pricing. This position is pivotal in building and maintaining strong relationships with manufacturer partners and ensuring bid date deadlines are met through strategic collaboration.

Commercial Lighting Estimator Job Responsibilities


  • Collaborate with the inside and outside sales teams to negotiate and win projects.
  • Generate detailed lighting bills of materials based on plans, specifications, and customer requests.
  • Provide accurate budget pricing for projects and engage with manufacturers for precise product pricing.
  • Cultivate and sustain relationships with manufacturer partners.
  • Ensure timely completion of bids and a clean project hand-off to project managers.
  • Assist in managing project finances to optimize profitability.
  • Support technical support and project management teams with priors and submittals.
  • Adapt to various tasks as required by the dynamic nature of the sales and project negotiation process.

Qualifications


  • Background in the construction industry with the ability to read plans and specifications.
  • Solid understanding of lighting and lighting controls.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Adobe Acrobat is essential.
  • Familiarity with Oasis, Cahill, Excel, Smartsheet, and Bluebeam is advantageous.
  • Strong eagerness to learn and understand technical aspects of lighting products.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with colleagues and clients.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Punctuality and a keen attention to detail.
