[HVAC] Sales Engineer | $100K-$130K DOE

Location: Tacoma, WA

Our client, a leading commercial construction mechanical contractor in the Northwest, is currently seeking a skilled Project Manager / Sales Engineer to join their dynamic team. Specializing in automation, energy solutions, and HVAC systems, the company has established itself as a major player in the industry, renowned for its innovative design/build, fabrication, installation, and service capabilities.

In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of sourcing, vetting, estimating, and closing projects ranging from $10,000 to several million dollars in size. This position offers the unique opportunity to work directly with Consulting Engineers, General Contractors, Building Owners, and Utility Representatives, providing integrated application engineering and design support for a vast array of heating, cooling, and ventilation applications in commercial and industrial facilities.

HVAC Sales Engineer Job Responsibilities


  • Source, vet, estimate, and close a diverse range of projects.
  • Collaborate closely with Consulting Engineers, General Contractors, Building Owners, and Utility Representatives.
  • Provide application engineering and design support for heating, cooling, and ventilation systems.
  • Deliver presentations, prepare quotes, and offer technical support.
  • Conduct jobsite visits for troubleshooting and ensuring project requirements are met.
  • Research and develop new business opportunities with both new and existing clients.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to customer inquiries.

Qualifications


  • Minimum 5 years of related experience in sales, construction, and HVAC fields.
  • 4-year technical degree in mechanical engineering preferred.
  • Strong client interfacing skills.
  • Proficient in providing timely estimates and proposals for projects.
  • In-depth understanding of current Energy Codes, Mechanical Codes, and ASHRAE standards.
