Field Crane Technician
Compensation: $46-$52/hr DOE
Location: Tacoma, WA
They are currently seeking a Field Crane Technician to support offsite customers by providing expert service and repair solutions. This role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, and maintaining cranes in a timely, cost-effective, and safe manner. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with service managers, coordinators, and customers while ensuring proper documentation and follow-ups on all service jobs.
Crane Field Technician Job Responsibilities
- Perform inspections, repairs, and maintenance on self-erect and tower cranes.
- Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and engineered drawings to guide repair work.
- Accurately complete all required documentation, including work orders, warranties, and safety forms.
- Provide timely and accurate labor estimates and recommend additional repairs when needed.
- Ensure necessary parts are ordered and available for scheduled repairs.
- Communicate effectively with service managers, coordinators, and customers to provide updates on work progress.
- Follow safety procedures and industry best practices while performing field service tasks.
Qualifications
- Strong electrical and mechanical skills.
- Ability to interpret technical documents and apply knowledge to repairs.
- Experience inspecting and repairing cranes from brands such as Terex, Potain, and Liebherr.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to follow directions and adhere to company safety standards.
