Tree Climber/Arborist
Compensation: $30-$40/hr DOE
Location: Snohomish, WA
We are seeking two dedicated and skilled Tree Climbers/Arborists for our client, a reputable company with a commitment to excellent service and employee benefits, including full medical, dental, and vision coverage.
Arborist Job Responsibilities
- Perform tree trimming and pruning to maintain the health and appearance of trees.
- Utilize rigging techniques to safely lower branches and debris from heights.
- Operate lift and other equipment for tree care tasks.
- Cleanup job sites and participate in ground operations when needed.
- Assess tree health during jobsite walk arounds.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow.
- Strive to play your part in maintaining a positive work environment.
Qualifications
ISA Certification is a primary requirement for this role.
- Must be able to climb trees using ropes, harnesses, and climbing equipment for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment, branches, and tools weighing up to 75 pounds on a regular basis.
- Must be able to maintain physical endurance for 8–10 hours of strenuous outdoor work, including frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting, and balancing.
- Must be able to use hand and power tools overhead and at awkward angles while maintaining stability aloft.
- Must have sufficient hand–eye coordination to tie knots, handle rigging, and operate saws safely and accurately.
- Must be able to work in all outdoor conditions common to Washington State, including rain, heat, cold, wind, and uneven terrain.
- Must be able to tolerate exposure to sawdust, pollen, insects, and other environmental factors.
- Must have adequate vision and hearing to identify hazards, respond to instructions, and recognize warning signals.
- Must be able to safely wear and use personal protective equipment (PPE), including helmet, eye and hearing protection, climbing harness, gloves, and chainsaw chaps.
