Plumbing Project Engineer
Compensation: $80K-$120K DOE
Location: Seattle, WA
Our client is an industry leader in the design, installation, and service of HVAC, refrigeration, process piping, building automation and plumbing systems. They offer a comprehensive package including a full 401(k) match. They are currently seeking a dedicated Project Engineer in Plumbing who will work closely with the Project Manager and will be responsible for the technical coordination of assigned projects.
Plumbing Project Engineer Job Responsibilities
- Ensure clear and consistent communication among project team members, clients, architects, and vendors.
- Contribute to estimating, scheduling, and design within the design-build process.
- Write proposals, memos, subcontracts, change orders, and other project-related documents.
- Coordinate and participate in internal and external meetings.
- Perform takeoffs, obtain vendor and subcontractor quotes, compile bid estimates.
- Manage job progress, interpret technical plans and specifications.
- Oversee purchasing and delivery processes, and financial management of the project.
- Handle job closeout processes and commissioning.
- Collaboratively ensure all issues are communicated and resolved.
Qualifications
- BS in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field is required. Mechanical and/or related engineering concentration is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated career progression in project engineering and oversight.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Experience in JDE, IFS, BidTracer, Bluebeam, FastEst, Smartsheet, Box, or similar is preferred.
