HVAC Project General Manager | $115K-$150K OTE

Location: Seattle, WA

Our client, a leader in providing comprehensive commercial HVAC services including maintenance, repair, energy optimization, and design-build & retrofit, is seeking a highly skilled Project General Manager to oversee their operations within a designated territory ranging from Everett/Lynnwood to Woodinville, North Seattle/Kirkland & Bellevue, and Edmonds South to Tukwila.

This pivotal role involves not just meeting individual sales quotas but also managing a team of 3 Project Sales Executives and 2 Project Engineers, driving the company’s success through owner-direct relationships and special projects. The ideal candidate will be a part of the leadership team, carrying profit & loss responsibilities and playing a crucial role in shaping the company’s future.

HVAC Project General Manager Job Responsibilities

  • Meet and exceed individual contributor sales quotas while managing a team of sales executives and engineers.
  • Maintain and strengthen existing customer relationships and develop new ones through direct owner interactions and contractor partnerships.
  • Oversee special projects ranging in size from $125K to $1MM, contributing significantly to the company’s revenue goals.
  • Be an early riser, reporting to the office before the sales team to prepare for the day ahead.
  • Conduct prospecting for new maintenance projects for HVAC systems through direct owner outreach, contractor referrals, or property management agreements.
  • Uphold the company’s values of honesty, integrity, and service-driven focus, creating a culture of trust and empowerment within your team.
  • Be part of the leadership team, contributing to strategic decisions and the overall direction of the company.


  • Residency within the territory
  • Proven track record as an individual contributor in selling projects in the commercial HVAC sector.
  • Demonstrated experience managing a team of sales executives and engineers.
  • Deep understanding of the HVAC industry and the ability to foster relationships with contractors and customers, with 80% of business coming from direct owner relationships.
  • Solid experience in managing Profit & Loss for a sales team.
  • Commitment to integrity and a customer-first approach, aligning with the company’s core values.
  • Availability to report to the Seattle office early, setting the pace and tone for the team.
