Sales Engineer

Compensation: $120K-$140K OTE

Location:   Portland, OR

As a Sales Engineer, you will play an integral role in identifying new business opportunities, designing tailored automation solutions in collaboration with clients, and contributing to the organization’s growth.

Sales Engineer Job Responsibilities


  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities to drive business development.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients, focusing on their automation and industrial equipment needs.
  • Work closely with clients to design and implement customized automation solutions.
  • Apply knowledge of electrical or pneumatic systems to support customer projects and provide technical expertise.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.

Qualifications


  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business, with hands-on experience in automation or industrial equipment. An Associate degree with significant experience in related fields will also be considered.
  • Have a strong background in either electrical or pneumatic systems.
  • Proven experience in automation or industrial sales, preferably working with competitors rather than customers.
  • Demonstrate business development expertise and a proven ability to build and grow client relationships.
