[Industrial Pumps] Outside Sales Representative | $90K-$140K OTE

Location: Western OR / Remote

Our client is a leading distributor and servicer of pumps and related products, renowned for their commitment to quality, innovation, and customer service. They play a crucial role in providing industrial and municipal clients with critical fluid handling solutions. Currently, they are seeking a motivated and skilled Outside Sales professional to join their dynamic team.

This vital role serves as the first point of contact for established customers requiring new systems, expansions, or parts/services for their existing setups. As an integral part of the sales team, you will be responsible for maintaining and growing customer relationships through exceptional service, technical knowledge, and sales expertise.

Industrial Pumps Outside Sales Job Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary contact for established customers, offering solutions for new systems, expansions, or parts and service needs.
  • Make sales calls to industrial and municipal end user plants, offices, and consulting firms within a designated territory stretching from Wilsonville to the California border and east to the mountains.
  • Provide accurate quotes, terms of sales, delivery dates, and other pertinent information to customers.
  • Utilize CRM tools to plan and record sales activities, promote sales growth, profit management, and customer satisfaction.
  • Work closely with the inside sales team for support on parts, repair services, and new applications.
  • Aid in the design and development of custom systems to meet client needs.
  • Ensure prompt delivery of products and technical solutions, and organize training sessions to enhance client knowledge and application of products.
  • Strategically execute plans to grow business within the assigned territory.


  • Proven experience in outside industrial sales, preferably within the pump or related industries.
  • Engineering or technical degree preferred; equivalent experience in a related field may be considered.
  • Strong understanding of industrial and fluid handling equipment with the ability to discuss technical aspects effectively.
  • Excellent negotiation, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and drive towards targeted results, both as an individual and within a team.
  • Self-directed, motivated, and lives within the borders of the designated territory.
