Consumer Loan Officer Trainee
Compensation: $52K-$55K DOE
Location: Federal Way, WA
Our client, a well-established finance company with a vast presence throughout WA, OR, ID, UT & AZ, is seeking a full-time Consumer Loan Officer Trainee. This role offers an opportunity to learn and grow within the industry, work closely with senior Loan Officers, and make profitable decisions that benefit both clients and the business.
Loan Officer Job Responsibilities
- Effectively manage relationships with commercial businesses, largely auto dealerships.
- Process and qualify leads for various loan programs.
- Assist clients in making informed credit and financial decisions.
- Work with walk-in customers; conducting interviews and making financial decisions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Commitment to continuous learning with the ability to develop process, people, leadership, and management skills.
- Ability and desire to interact with a diverse customer base.
- Ability and desire to learn and accurately apply applicable laws and regulations required within the finance / credit / banking industry.
- Ability and desire to learn credit underwriting, including approval, denial, and counteroffer of contracts from vendors.
- Ability and desire to learn effective negotiation and marketing skills.
- Critical and inquisitive thinking, analytical skills, and attention to detail to draw out information and aide decision making.
- Solid understanding of the economics and risk elements related to financing.
- Professional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Our client offers a competitive compensation package inclusive of a base salary ranging from $52,000 to $55,000, plus quarterly bonuses.
