We are seeking an experienced Select Commercial Account Manager to join their team in a full-time hybrid capacity. This role is central to managing and growing a portfolio of commercial accounts, delivering expert insurance guidance, and fostering strong relationships with both clients and insurance carriers. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting business retention and growth alongside the sales team.
Responsibilities
- Schedule and conduct pre-renewal meetings with commercial clients
- Facilitate thorough policy reviews to ensure adequate coverage
- Consult insureds on policy changes and coverage recommendations
- Assist with new quotes and coverage estimates
- Re-market accounts to insurance carriers as needed
- Process Certificates of Insurance and policy endorsements
- Bind coverages on behalf of clients
- Manage accounts receivable related to assigned accounts
- Collaborate with the sales team to support business growth and client retention
- Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the policy lifecycle
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in Commercial Lines Account Management within an independent agency (experience with carriers, captives, or direct writers does not qualify)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is required
- Experience with AMS 360 is preferred but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a hybrid work environment
- Insurance certifications, designations, and/or active licenses are preferred but not required
