Building Automation Specialist I | $34-$42/hr

Location: Richland, WA

Our client, a leader in providing mechanical solutions, is currently seeking a Building Automation Specialist I to join their dynamic team. This position plays a critical role in the company by participating in the On-Call Service rotation and contributing across various teams including Service, Construction, and Panel Shop teams.

The ideal candidate will bring a robust background in building management systems (BMS), with specific expertise in Tridium N4 and Distech controls. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on the forefront of building automation technology, ensuring the optimal performance and efficiency of mechanical systems in commercial and industrial settings.

Building Automation Specialist I Job Responsibilities


  • Build BMS N4 stations and databases from the ground up.
  • Act as team lead on project checkout and commissioning efforts (MOP and MCM).
  • Perform additional duties as required by project needs.
  • May serve as a Service lead for planned preventive maintenance, service calls, and projects.
  • Lead in the construction of BMS control panels.

Qualifications


  • Minimum of 18 months experience as a Technician II or equivalent work experience in the field.
  • Tridium N4 certification is required.
  • Completed Distech Controller and Distech GFX courses.
  • Demonstrated ability to create BMS stations and setup networks within a station including BACnet, LonWorks, MODBUS, and IP.
  • Proficiency in evaluating network structures, addressing devices, and converting Sequences of Operation into logic-based steps and formats.
  • Expertise in creating BMS stations and configuring network settings.
  • Skilled in evaluating network structures and efficiently addressing devices.
  • Ability to translate Sequences of Operation into logical steps and formats.
