Mechanical Project Engineer (Assistant Project Manager)
Compensation: $80K-$90K DOE

The Mechanical Project Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution and management of various projects. This role involves a wide array of responsibilities, from CAD drafting to managing project plan revisions and coordinating with various stakeholders.
Assistant Project Manager Job Responsibilities
- Perform or contract CAD drafting as needed to meet project requirements.
- Manage and distribute project plan revisions and red lines, and coordinate with consultants, vendors and other trades, as needed.
- Prepare layouts in CAD for low pressure HVAC ductwork and distribution as well as HVAC piping systems.
- Complete system load calculations.
- Assist with HVAC equipment research and selection.
- Coordinate system design with structural consultants and electrical contractors.
- Research equipment and system applications as needed and provide team updates on new technology.
- Maintain database of jurisdictional permit submittal requirements and fee schedules.
- Procure permits on projects as required per jurisdictional database.
- Complete and manage pre-sale and post-sale facility energy analysis.
- Promote client engagement with the company’s service, maintenance, and energy services programs.
Qualifications
- Solid understanding of the commercial HVAC market.
- Strong mechanical and electrical systems technical education.
- Advanced computer skills including MS Office and AutoCAD.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies.
- Ability to understand and communicate basic mechanical concepts.
- Advanced organizational and time management skills.
- Experience in energy efficiency applications.
- Have a thorough understanding of City and State Code Requirements.
- Experienced in diagnosing system design problems and planning for improved system performance.
- Three (3) years commercial HVAC project experience.
- Control system experience preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communications
