Service Writer
Compensation: $25-$32/hr DOE
Location: Kent, WA
Our client is a leading supplier of industrial equipment, offering a vast range of products from vacuum cleaners, sweepers to utility equipment. They are currently seeking a Service Writer to join their organization. This role plays a crucial part in the daily service operations, serving as the primary liaison between customers, technicians, and parts staff.
Service Writer Job Responsibilities
- Assist the Service Manager with daily service operations and workflow management.
- Act as the first point of contact for service customers—both in person and over the phone.
- Create, edit, and follow up on service quotes and work orders.
- Communicate effectively with technicians, parts staff, and customers to ensure smooth job execution.
- Track service progress and update customers on status and timelines.
- Maintain service records, documentation, and scheduling.
- Support the coordination of warranty claims and service billing.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by delivering clear, consistent, and friendly communication.
Qualifications
- Experience in a service advisor, service writer, or customer service role, preferably in a dealership, repair shop, or equipment-related industry.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay organized under pressure.
- Comfort working with quotes, invoices, and service management software.
