Service Technician Job Responsibilities
- Disassemble, inspect, reassemble, and test pumps to ensure optimal functionality
- Clean and inspect rotating equipment for quality assurance
- Estimate repair costs and assemble new equipment as needed
- Report on job status and any concerns related to quality of work
- Travel to customer sites for on-location servicing when required
- Mentor junior mechanics to foster skill development and adherence to company standards
- Adhere to safety protocols, including the use of safety gear like glasses and shoes
- May require standing or walking for extended periods and working in varied temperatures
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of production or shop experience
- 1-2 years of experience as a mechanic or millwright specializing in pumps
- Associates degree or relevant certification is preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Safety gear is mandatory for this role
- Willingness to work overtime as needed based on workload
