The position of Production Manager opens the door to a rewarding career overseeing the full spectrum of production activities, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
Production Manager Job Responsibilities
- Supervise all production activities, ensuring optimal utilization of facilities and personnel.
- Plan and assign work to production employees, implement policies and procedures, and recommend improvements.
- Coordinate closely with the Purchasing and Sales teams, ensuring seamless operations from procurement to distribution.
- Oversee delivery routing and dispatch of drivers, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries, prioritizing routes to meet delivery cut-offs.
- Supervise a Food Safety QA, Sanitation Tech, three supervisors, warehouse drivers, and a Logistics Analyst, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Work closely with the leadership team to identify inefficiencies and propose necessary changes, including the potential need for additional shifts.
- Understand and optimize cuts & yields, striving for efficient and economical utilization of materials.
- Rotate to oversee production over the weekend every four weeks, ensuring continuity of operations.
- 15+ years of Production Management experience, preferably within the seafood or proteins sector.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is required.
- Experience in managing sanitation, QA, production, custom cuts, and yield recovery.
- Availability to work in-office every day from 4:30am to 3pm and willingness to work a 6-day work week.
- Demonstrated stability in career, with no history of frequent job changes.
