[Seafood] Account Manager | $60K-$80K + Bonus
Location: South Bay LA area, CA
A prominent seafood industry leader in the South Bay LA area, specializing in the import, export, processing, and distribution of fresh and frozen seafood, is on the lookout for an Account Manager to join their dynamic team. This role is crafted for those who thrive in customer service and have a passion for the seafood business.
The Account Manager will be essential in maintaining and expanding relationships with an established clientele of seafood distributors and broadliners across North America. As the company transitions to a new ERP system, the Account Manager will be pivotal in managing transactional sales communication and interfacing with the ERP, allowing Sales Representatives to focus on generating new business.
Account Manager Job Responsibilities
- Manage transactional sales communications with a focus on existing customer accounts.
- Work closely with the Sales, Procurement, and Operations Teams to ensure order accuracy and product availability.
- Utilize in-depth knowledge of product offerings, special order parameters, and logistics to service clients effectively.
- Maintain consistent and professional communication via email and phone to nurture client relationships and develop additional business opportunities.
- Ensure precise and comprehensive information is provided on orders, shipping routes, and pickup/delivery timings.
- Conduct account maintenance, follow up on account statuses, and assist with the accounts receivable process.
- Collaborate with vendors to gather product or service information, such as pricing and delivery schedules.
- Create reports and correspondence as necessary.
- Compile sales data from CRM systems, sales dashboards, and pricing models for analysis and strategy development.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in customer service within the seafood industry, with a wholesaler, importer, or processor.
- Over 2 years of freight/logistics experience preferred.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with people at all levels and backgrounds, both verbally and via email.
- A proactive and efficient team player with robust problem-solving skills.
- The role is predominantly in-office, but remote candidates with precisely matching experience may be considered.
