Outside Service Technician | $20-$26/hr + OT
Location: Spokane, WA
Are you a technically skilled individual with a customer-first mindset? Our client specializes in custom-made hose assembly and is a trusted name for maintenance and servicing of compressed air systems. They are currently in search of an Outside Service Technician to join their dedicated team. This position offers the opportunity to work both in the shop and on customer sites, providing crucial maintenance and repair services for compressors and blowers.
The Outside Service Technician will be responsible for a wide array of tasks, from troubleshooting and repair to customer communication and new business acquisition. This role demands both technical acumen and excellent customer service skills, as you will be the face of the company in resolving issues and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Service Technician Job Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and servicing of compressed air systems, both in-shop and at customer locations
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to compressors and blowers
- Accurate and timely preparation of service orders, timesheets, and expense reports
- Execute factory-authorized warranty repairs on compressed air systems
- Adhere to customer requirements and safety standards on job sites
- Effectively communicate machine issues and repair progress to customers
- Acquire new service business and maintenance contracts
- Maintain company-issued tools, equipment, and service truck
- Participate in company-sponsored training programs as required by compressed air manufacturers
- Perform other assigned duties as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; 1-2 years of relevant experience in compressed air systems is preferred
- Strong electrical, plumbing, or mechanical aptitude
- Excellent problem-solving skills and customer-centric selling abilities
- Proficiency in computer applications for inventory management and order processing
- Valid driver’s license
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., drive, and perform other related tasks
- Punctuality, self-direction, and effective planning skills
