Outside Sales Representative
Compensation: $70K-$100K DOE
Location: AZ & NM
Our client, a leading provider of metal cladding and exterior building materials, is seeking a dedicated and results-driven Outside Sales Representative to join their team. This position will focus on developing relationships with architects and general contractors across Arizona and New Mexico to secure sales of high-quality exterior construction materials.
Outside Sales Representative Job Responsibilities
- Develop and nurture relationships with architects, general contractors, and other industry professionals within the Arizona and New Mexico territories.
- Promote and present the company’s range of metal cladding and exterior building materials to key decision-makers.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their project needs and ensure the right materials are specified and ordered.
- Travel regularly within the territory to meet with existing and prospective clients, building a strong pipeline of opportunities.
- Complete comprehensive in-office training, followed by a schedule of 1-2 days in the office per week, with the remaining time spent in the field.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth order processing and customer satisfaction.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and competitive products to effectively position the company’s offerings.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in outside sales, ideally within the construction materials or metal cladding industry.
- Ability and willingness to travel frequently throughout Arizona and New Mexico.
- Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently to achieve sales targets.
- Comfortable with a combination of in-office training and ongoing fieldwork.
- Ability to understand and present technical product details effectively.
