Hose Fabricator / Shop Laborer | $20-$22/hr + OT
Location: Spokane, WA
Do you have experience in manufacturing or hose fabrication? Are you dedicated to maintaining high-quality and safety standards in a fast-paced environment? Our client specializes in custom-made hose assemblies and is seeking a Hose Fabricator / Shop Laborer to become an integral part of their operation. This role requires both technical skill and a keen attention to detail, as you’ll be working closely with the Shop Foreman to fabricate hoses according to customer specifications and conduct various warehouse operations.
In this position, you will also be responsible for inventory control, customer order fulfillment, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. If you have a strong mechanical aptitude and are committed to delivering exceptional customer service, this opportunity is ideal for you.
Shop Laborer Job Responsibilities
- Cut hose to customer specifications and attach components following manufacturer guidelines
- Conduct hydrostatic pressure tests for leak detection when necessary
- Execute receiving and warehousing procedures, including verification of incoming parts, materials, and supplies
- Maintain and restock warehouse areas while ensuring a clean and safe work environment
- Handle customer order entry and fulfillment, including sales order preparation and inventory checks
- Report equipment malfunctions, defective materials, and irregular operations to appropriate management
- Uphold safety standards and use tools and equipment with care
- Attend manufacturer and safety training programs, as well as in-house workshops
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required
- Minimum of two years of experience in manufacturing or hose fabrication
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory software for customer order processing
- Basic mathematical skills
- Physical ability to perform tasks like lifting up to 20 lbs regularly, and up to 100 lbs occasionally, as well as standing, walking, bending, and reaching
