Heavy Machinery Field Mechanic
Compensation: $32-$43/hr DOE
Location: Mount Vernon, WA

They are currently seeking a Field Mechanic to join their team. This role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, inspecting, and maintaining various types of heavy machinery, with a strong emphasis on cranes, excavators, and forestry equipment. The mechanic will primarily service rental and customer-owned equipment, ensuring high performance and safety standards in the field.
Field Mechanic Job Responsibilities
- Diagnose, inspect, repair, and maintain heavy machinery and equipment, including cranes, excavators, and forestry machinery.
- Service rental and customer-owned equipment.
- Perform electrical, hydraulic, engine, and drive train system repairs.
- Use computer-controlled systems for diagnostics and troubleshooting.
- Maintain clear, professional communication with customers, supervisors, and vendors.
- Travel to job sites and company locations using a company vehicle.
- Be on call for urgent service needs.
- Lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in electrical, hydraulic, and computer-controlled systems for heavy machinery.
- Expertise in drive trains and engines.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and vendors.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various locations.
- Ability to work on-call shifts.
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
