Equipment & Fleet Supervisor | $73K-$80K DOE
Location: Maltby, WA
Our client, a leader in landscape management known for their comprehensive services from design to maintenance, is on the lookout for a skilled Equipment & Fleet Supervisor. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of their equipment, crucial for the success of their landscape projects. The ideal candidate will not only possess technical proficiency in working on 3&4 stroke engines, conducting oil changes, brake jobs, and maintaining small landscape equipment, but also have the ability to lead and supervise a team of mechanics.
With a blend of shop work (70%) and administrative responsibilities (30%), this position is based mainly in Maltby, with occasional travel to Pacific & Black Diamond locations in a company vehicle. Our client places a high value on interpersonal skills and is specifically seeking a supervisor who excels in people management, addressing the gap left by the previous incumbent.
Equipment & Fleet Supervisor Job Responsibilities
- Conduct maintenance and repairs on 3&4 stroke engines, and small landscape equipment.
- Perform routine oil changes and brake jobs.
- Supervise and provide guidance to a team of mechanics.
- Manage shop operations effectively, ensuring high standards of work.
- Handle administrative tasks, including paperwork and record-keeping (30% of the role).
- Travel occasionally to Pacific & Black Diamond locations for supervisory duties.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and protocols in the workshop.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in mechanics, particularly with 3&4 stroke engines and landscape equipment.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in supervising a team.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle managerial responsibilities alongside technical work.
- Organized and detail-oriented, especially in administrative tasks.
- Flexibility to travel between different company locations as needed.
- A friendly, people-oriented demeanor.
