Our client is a reputable company that provides comprehensive commercial, personal, and group benefits lines of insurance. Their company culture values employee growth and offers potential equity opportunities. They are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Employee Benefits Producer to join their team. This position plays a pivotal role in the organization and is key to driving the success of their group benefits line.
Employee Benefits Producer Job Responsibilities
- Generating prospects through networking and establishing strong relationships and pipelines.
- Consulting on business and closing deals.
- Bringing a book of business that can broker of record/transition with them.
- Preparing a business plan that outlines existing relationships, centers of influence, and primary & tertiary prospective target markets.
Qualifications
- Must have 2+ years of experience selling Employee / Group Benefits Lines with an independent broker.
- Must have validated sales experience (no off-profile sales individuals).
- No experience with captive agencies such as Farmers, State Farm, American Family Insurance, Federated, Liberty Mutual, or carrier reps.
- Must have genuine contacts, not just lists of prospects from SIC code lists.
- Preference for candidates with a Book of Business exceeding $100K in Revenue.
