[Civil Engineering] Project Manager | $90K-$150K DOE
Location: Seattle, WA
Our client, a leading firm in civil engineering, construction services, landscape architecture, and more, is seeking a dedicated Project Manager to oversee critical infrastructure projects. This role is central to the company’s operations, encompassing civil engineering, surveying/mapping, stormwater engineering, transportation planning, traffic engineering, utility engineering, and urban design projects.
As a Project Manager, you will act as the primary liaison among contractors, agencies, and stakeholders, ensuring project success from start to finish. This position demands a professional who is not only adept at managing complex projects but also skilled in navigating the intricacies of stakeholder communication and compliance with various engineering standards.
Project Manager Job Responsibilities
- Serve as the main point of communication among contractors, agencies, and stakeholders, including utilities, emergency services, and the public.
- Ensure all project activities comply with contract documents.
- Monitor and assess potential change orders for their impact on the project budget and timeline.
- Review and approve project submittals, including materials and traffic control plans.
- Oversee preconstruction reviews and ongoing project schedule assessments to meet milestones and minimize delay claims.
- Lead weekly project meetings with all stakeholders to ensure consistent progress and address any concerns.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent job site experience.
- Must possess a Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
- 3-4 years of relevant experience, ready to integrate quickly into ongoing projects (“plug & play”).
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to work actively on construction sites, including navigating uneven terrain and adhering to safety protocols.
- Familiarity with WSDOT Standard Specifications and WSDOT Standard Plans, including ADA requirements, is essential.
