Our client is a trailblazer in system integration and construction services, specializing in automating processes for water/wastewater and public infrastructure clients across the Western United States. They are currently seeking a CAD Designer/Drafter to join their dynamic team.
CAD Designer / Drafter Job Responsibilities
- Provide instrument and electrical CAD drafting and design support for the Engineering Department
- Create control panel and back panel layouts according to Bills of Material (BOM) and UL 508A requirements
- Develop power distribution diagrams, loop diagrams, control system schematics, and control system wiring and installation details for process plant instrumentation using P&IDs and BOMs
- Work collaboratively in a team environment to achieve objectives
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of all deliverable products and services in assigned areas of responsibility
- Maintain CAD support block library, standards drawings, template drawings, title blocks, and more
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in drafting of control systems, control panels, loop drawings, programmable logic controllers, and industrial measurement and control instrumentation
- Proficiency in the latest version of AutoCAD, including knowledge of XREF, block attributes, etc.
- An Associates Degree in an industrial technology program or equivalent experience
- Familiarity with pneumatic, electronic, and analytical instrumentation used to measure and control flow, temperature, pressure, level, and analytical properties of fluids
- Proficiency in reading technical documentation such as Piping & Instrument Diagrams, loop drawings, wiring schematics, and specifications
- Working knowledge of MS-Word, MS-Excel
