Building Materials Outside Sales Representative
Compensation: $50K-$65K + Commissions
Location: Seattle, WA
Our client’s company is a leading supplier of roofing, siding, and windows, providing high-quality products and services to customers. Currently, they are seeking a dedicated individual to join their team as an Outside Sales Representative.
This role involves a dynamic mix of prospecting, building a book of business, and managing customer accounts, offering a great opportunity for growth and development.
Outside Sales Job Responsibilities
- Prospect new clients and build a strong book of business
- Manage customer accounts, cultivating and maintaining relationships
- Analyze sales reports to identify opportunities in customer buying patterns
- Conduct cold calls to reach out to potential customers
- Follow up on sales leads and schedule appointments with prospective clients
- Provide solutions and support to customers in case of service concerns
- Deliver training to customers and their teams on product lines and services
- Assist customers with the credit application process
- Ensure timely payment collection from customers and address any billing issues
Qualifications
- Experience in outside sales of building materials such as lumber, windows, siding, or roofing
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of the industry, including product lines and building contractor processes (preferred but not required)
- Possession of a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to pass an MVR check
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Strong time management and organizational abilities
