Accountant | $83K-$115K DOE
Location: Tacoma, WA
Our client’s company specializes in providing design, construction/project management, and engineering services for civil construction infrastructure projects such as public water works (wastewater), tunnels, light rail, aviation, roads, and bridges. Currently, they are seeking a dedicated Accountant to join their team.
The selected candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the existing accountant by ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions, managing ledger entries, reconciling bank accounts, assisting with payroll, recording cash receipts, and handling accounts receivable/payable tasks.
Accountant Job Responsibilities
- Review financial transactions for accuracy
- Input transactions into the correct ledger
- Reconcile bank accounts
- Provide payroll assistance
- Record cash receipts
- Process payroll for the team
- Manage accounts receivable/payable as needed
- Perform data entry tasks
- Handle invoicing
- Utilize spreadsheets and pivot tables
- Manage online QuickBooks
Qualifications
- Proficiency in General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Background in the Architecture, Engineering, or Construction (AEC) industry
- 2 to 4 years of experience with QuickBooks Online
- 2 to 4 years of experience as a Bookkeeper
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Mathematics
- Experience working with pivot tables
