Maintenance Mechanic

A tight knit family-owned and operated seafood manufacturing company is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join their well-established team in Fife.

This is an established company been in business since 1970 and has a great reputation in the Pacific Northwest with a wide range of processing options and freezing capacity. The ideal candidate will have the following experience and knowledge.

They need someone who can coordinate, execute activities and projects affecting the maintenance, alteration, and repair of equipment and buildings. Employees must work around production of fresh and frozen seafood and shellfish, some of which contain known allergens.

Job Responsibilities

  • Repairs, maintenance, installation of machines, tools, and equipment; this responsibility is to ensure continuous production operation
  • Detect/Report defective materials or questionable condition to the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Assure that the work areas and equipment are in clean, orderly condition and follow safety regulations.
  • Familiar with the essential machine functions to oversee processes, ability to operate related machinery.

Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience in Maintenance in a manufacturing plant is preferred
  • Experience in Bakery or food/beverage manufacturing is preferred
  • MUST have a mechanically inclined type of mindset

Employee is exposed to plant environment to include moving mechanical parts. Fumes or airborne particle, toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock Must always wear safety glasses.

Mechanical Technician – $26-$40/hr DOE

Our client, a custom air compressor manufacturer in Seattle is looking for Mechanical Technicians! The client is the only air compressor and vacuum manufacturer that services it’s own products and equipment. They need skilled technicians to perform repairs at various customer sites.

Job Responsibilities

  • Repair industrial machinery; such as, air compressors (5-500HP), positive displacement pumps, liquid ring pumps, refrigerated dryers, desiccant dryers, and vacuum systems.
  • On field service calls, discuss assignment with customer’s representative and inspect installation site to verify that electrical supply wires, conduit, switches and circuit breakers are installed according to specifications.
  • Apply knowledge of electrical circuits, mechanics, and pneumatics.
  • Inspect and measure parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED
  • 1-3 years industrial maintenance experience
  • Previous Experience: Mechanical, 3 phase electrical, refrigeration.

  • Perform general construction labor, including moving heavy materials periodically
  • Direct supervision of crew members and subcontractors on site

  • Perform site safety meetings, site safety inspections and compliance with all Federal, State and local safety regulations and requirements
  • Review and approve employee timekeeping records and job costing

  • Using surveying equipment; level and set up proper sub-grade
  • Set and erect forms using a wide variety of materials and forming systems while ensuring forms are to proper elevations and in correct locations

  • Able to work in all weather conditions
  • Able to perform heavy labor tasks safely
  • Able to work on or near heavy construction equipment
  • Able to accurately read and direct work based on blueprints, plans, specs and construction drawings
  • Able to work from ladders, elevated platforms, and heights
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities, running crews of four (4) or more
  • Must work with others in professional a team orientated manner
  • Valid Washington State Driver’s License and good transportation to and from jobs.

(Civil Engineering) Construction: Senior Electrical Engineer $110K + Bonus

We are currently seeking to add an established Senior Electrical Engineer for one of the nation’s top Civil Construction Engineering Firms. This is a full-time position that also has a remote option. The Company is offering a competitive base salary of $110,000 (doe) including full benefit package covering hospital, medical, dental, vacation & 401k plan.

This position will focus on developing contract documents for the construction of transportation and municipal utility infrastructure. In this capacity you will be responsible for reviewing contracts, performing electrical designs involving the development of drawings, supporting engineering calculations, review of shop drawings during all phases of construction and overall project management support through completion of the build.

Competitive candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, in depth knowledge of electrical building codes, and comfortable working with a team as well as independent.
