Service Sales Manager

Compensation: $150K-$200K DOE
Location:   Asuza, CA

Our client is a well-established building controls and automation services company specializing in retrofits, repairs, maintenance, and system integration. They are seeking a Service Sales Manager to lead and grow their service division. This pivotal role drives revenue through strategic sales, team leadership, and exceptional customer relationship management across service projects, maintenance agreements, and tenant improvements.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and pursue proposal and bid activity across key business segments, including retrofit, repairs, maintenance, and integration opportunities.
  • Review estimates, pricing proposals, and contractual documents on large or high-risk transactions.
  • Prospect, qualify, and secure new service projects and maintenance agreements; assist with estimating, proposals, and customer presentations.
  • Lead quarterly sales meetings and promote cross-departmental collaboration between construction and service teams.
  • Support Project Managers with solutions, applications, execution strategies, and cost estimating.
  • Manage internal resources to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and execute multi-year maintenance planning, customer loyalty initiatives, and service improvement plans based on customer feedback.
  • Oversee financial performance of service contracts, ensuring profitability, cost containment, and sustainable growth in renewable maintenance agreements.
  • Manage WebCTRL license renewals and upgrades, and maintain competitive service charge rates through market analysis.
  • Assist with problem solving, conflict resolution, and collections with consistency and timeliness.
  • Oversee service standards, process execution, and quality assurance for local service operations.
  • Review monthly financial statements, incentive compensation calculations, and draw account requests for Project Managers.
  • Lead change management efforts to deploy new service strategies, standards, and processes effectively.
  • Manage team workload, resource allocation, cost accountability, and individual development planning for operations personnel.
  • Develop annual staffing and recruiting strategies; build local market networks to support hiring of operational and sales staff.
  • Proactively identify risks on service projects and maintenance agreements, initiating action plans to minimize negative outcomes.
  • Monitor and report on individual and department productivity on a monthly and year-to-date basis.
  • Continuously develop knowledge of local market trends, industry technologies, and solutions to support internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and/or 10–15 years of related work experience.
  • Proven ability to achieve growth and meet sales targets through effective team management.
  • Ability to operate independently while exercising sound judgment on when to escalate to senior leadership.
  • High degree of integrity with strong interpersonal and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate advanced concepts clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a high volume of business challenges simultaneously.
  • Experience delegating tasks effectively and assigning resources appropriately to address issues.
