Benefits Account Manager
Compensation: $60K-$70K DOE
Location: Fife, WA
Our client is a leading provider of Employee Benefits, Individual & Medicare Insurance services, offering a comprehensive package of benefits. They are currently seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Benefits Account Manager to join their organization.
The individual in this role plays a pivotal part in the successful onboarding and ongoing service for both new and renewing employee benefits accounts, acting as the primary liaison between clients, carriers, and internal teams post-sale or renewal.
Benefits Account Manager Job Responsibilities
- Manage benefit plan implementation following client renewal or plan selection.
- Accurately update internal systems with finalized benefit information.
- Prepare and provide complete and accurate documentation to carriers and clients.
- Ensure enrollment details are processed correctly and within required timelines.
- Review paperwork for accuracy, resolve discrepancies, and follow up as needed.
- Coordinate with internal teams, carriers, and clients to ensure smooth implementation.
- Track progress and ensure all implementation steps are completed on schedule.
Qualifications
- Current Washington State Life and Disability Insurance licenses prior to employment.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in employee benefits, Human Resources support, or insurance preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work extended hours during peak seasons (typically October–February).
- Exposure to benefits administration platforms (e.g., Ease, Employee Navigator, BenefitPoint or similar).
- Familiarity with industry regulations including COBRA, ERISA, ACA, and Section 125 plans.
