Benefits Account Manager

Compensation: $80K-$105K DOE

Location:   Denver, CO

Our client is a renowned firm specializing in Employee Benefits, Commercial Insurance & Personal Lines of Insurance. The firm offers a range of benefits including employer paid medical, dental, vision, wellness program, and a 401k with an employer match. This role is crucial to the firm’s operations, primarily focusing on managing carrier administrative and producer support. It is a service-only role with no sales or writing new business, but it is a client-facing position. The Benefits Account Manager is also responsible for benefits administration and facilitating open enrollments.

Benefits Account Manager Job Responsibilities


  • Manage carrier administrative and producer support.
  • Create presentations, assist with estimates, quotes, and carrier negotiations.
  • Handle day-to-day servicing of accounts.
  • Facilitate open enrollments.
  • Work in a hybrid environment, in-office 3 days, and 2 days at home, unless meeting with clients is required.
  • Manage a book of business consisting of Level and Fully Insured Mid and Large Market accounts, between 250 – 2000 lives.

Qualifications


  • Minimum of 5+ years in Benefits, with at least 3 years managing a book of business independently on the agency side.
  • Previous experience in an independent agency. (No carrier or third party administrator experience).
  • Must have experience with fully, level, and self-funded accounts.
  • Must live in or be willing to relocate near the Denver office as this is a hybrid role, with 3 days in-office and 2 days away from the office.
