[Building Materials] Inside Sales Representative

Compensation: $25-$28/hr DOE

Location:   Tacoma, WA

Our client, a renowned organization in the construction and building materials industry, is seeking a dedicated Inside Sales Representative. They offer a range of products and services, including Decking, Engineered Wood, Fasteners/Connectors, Fencing, Railing, Siding, and Timbers. The company provides a generous benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and a 401(k) plan among others.

The Inside Sales Representative will play a crucial role in receiving and processing orders, providing product information and pricing, and assisting customers with their needs. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, customer-oriented environment.

Inside Sales Job Responsibilities


  • Receiving and writing orders from customers over the phone, providing pricing, product, and delivery information.
  • Servicing customers at the walk-in counter who may need information or product.
  • Fielding phone and in-person inquiries providing pricing/quotes from established price books/lists and product information.
  • Coordinating orders with yard personnel.
  • Assisting customers with problems.
  • Communicating order information and status to appropriate Account Managers for their customers.
  • Participating in physical inventories.
  • Maintaining ongoing product knowledge.
  • Performing other work-related duties as assigned by your supervisor and being flexible and adaptable to changes that will occur during the course of employment.

Qualifications


  • Minimum of an Associates degree from an accredited academic institution or commensurate industry experience.
  • Ability to model the company values.
  • Ability to multi-task and have multiple projects going simultaneously, while maintaining high-quality results.
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and engage the commitment of customers and team members.
  • A strong sense of urgency for goal achievement.
