Design Engineer Project Manager | $70K-$120K
Location: Portland, OR
Our client’s company is looking for a Design Engineer Project Manager who has a passion for problem-solving and is able to work collaboratively to achieve project goals.
You will have experience in the full cycle of engineering design, from conceptual design through construction drawing development, and have a deep understanding of applications engineering including psychrometrics, refrigeration, acoustics, and controls systems. Additionally, you will have experience in field engineering, site surveys, trade coordination, scheduling, document management, and problem-solving.
The successful candidate will be responsible for completing code-required energy compliance and LEED documentation and must be able to conduct engineering calculations, energy analysis, economic analysis, selection and layout of equipment, and duct & piping system design for HVAC, Plumbing, and other building systems.
Design Engineer Project Manager Job Responsibilities
- Identify complex design problems, conduct root cause failure, and anticipate production issues.
- Assist with engineering design project planning (conceptual design through construction drawing development).
- Complete code-required energy compliance and LEED documentation.
- Understand applications engineering including psychrometrics, refrigeration, acoustics, and controls systems.
- Conduct field engineering, meaning assisting with project execution, site surveys, trade coordination, scheduling, document management, and problem-solving.
- Be able to read blueprints from multiple industries.
- Conduct engineering calculations, energy analysis, economic analysis, selection and layout of equipment, and duct & piping system design for HVAC, Plumbing, and other building systems.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of Project Management or Engineering experience.
- Excellent organizational and mathematical skills, and the ability to think quickly on one’s feet.
- Flexibility and adaptability.
- Understanding of applications engineering including psychrometrics, refrigeration, acoustics, and controls systems.
- Familiarity with code-required energy compliance and LEED documentation.
- Proficiency in software such as Blue Beam, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office, and computer 2D and 3D modeling using AutoCAD.
- Ability to read blueprints from multiple industries.
