Lumber Sales Executive
Compensation: $60K-$96K DOE
Location: Woodinville, WA
Our client’s company is a leading lumber supplier that also offers a range of products including windows, doors, and railings. Currently, they are seeking a Sales Executive to join their dynamic team.
The Sales Executive will play a crucial role in meeting and exceeding sales and gross margin goals, with an annual sales target of $10 million and a gross margin goal of $1.0 million (10% gm on sales).
Lumber Sales Job Responsibilities
- Meet and exceed sales and gross margin goals.
- Cultivate and develop new customer relationships through lead generation and prospecting efforts.
- Proactively monitor account profitability, customer satisfaction & loyalty, and take necessary actions early.
- Schedule product shipments and provide ad-hoc support through the product delivery cycle.
- Communicate with dispatch, logistics, and account management teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.
- Prioritize workflow and customer needs in a fast-paced environment.
- Provide responsive and friendly customer service to project owners.
- Stay informed about market activities and pricing trends, conducting market and customer research for solicitation and pricing activities.
- Communicate proactively with the purchasing group to confirm demand side needs and provide feedback/direction when necessary.
Qualifications
- For candidates with $2-5 million in sales experience: younger lumber salesperson located near the lumber yards in WA or ID.
- For preferred candidates with $10+ million in sales experience: more experienced salesperson selling to multi-family contractors/builders, with a book of business, capable of handling pricing negotiations for large projects, understanding shipping and logistics, etc.
- Desired qualifications include:
- Operating modality aligned with guiding principles.
- Outstanding sales performance track record.
- 10+ years of selling experience to general contractors or framer project owners in multi-family, commercial, and/or residential construction industries.
- Existing deal flow with general contractors or framer project owners in the multi-family space.
- Strong data analysis, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to prioritize urgent requests.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Teams, and web-based software.
- Willingness to contribute to building an energetic and exciting organization.
- 4-year college degree preferred.
