[Seafood] QA Coordinator | $60K-$85K DOE

Location: Bellevue, WA

Our client, a distinguished provider of a variety of seafood products, is seeking a skilled QA Coordinator. This remote role is focused on ensuring compliance with all food safety regulations and involves meticulous documentation to satisfy government regulations. The QA Coordinator will be in regular communication with QA Analysts, Coordinators, and Managers of their processors, ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality.

Although this is a remote position, the candidate should be local to Bellevue and able to come into the office as needed. This role is ideal for someone with experience in wholesale seafood and a strong background in food safety and compliance, particularly in quality assurance.

QA Coordinator Job Responsibilities


  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and document all necessary information to meet government requirements.
  • Work remotely, communicating effectively with QA Analysts, Coordinators, and Managers of processors.
  • Audit and document food safety regulatory requirements, customer specifications, safe food handling practices, and general facility upkeep and cleanliness.
  • Prepare for, participate in, assist with, and conduct regulatory and compliance audits.
  • Inspect and document incoming goods to ensure they meet safety standards.
  • Report on food safety, sanitation, and employee safety concerns identified during audits, and provide follow-up reports to document progress.
  • Participate in routine HACCP and Food Safety Team initiatives and audits.
  • Ensure product safety by managing the removal of products with safety issues from inventory and tracking corrective measures.
  • Undertake additional duties and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications


  • Local to Bellevue, with the ability to work remotely and come into the office when necessary.
  • Experience in wholesale seafood is required.
  • At least 5 years of food safety and compliance experience in a wholesale food manufacturing/processing environment, ideally in a QA role.
  • Familiarity with HACCP, FDA, SQF, and USDA Food Safety regulations.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is helpful, but not a requirement.
