Commercial Lines Insurance Account Manager
Compensation: $52K-$74K OTE
Location: Tacoma, WA
Our client’s company is a well-established provider of commercial, personal lines, and group benefit insurance, serving a wide range of industries including contractors, transportation, real estate, and hospitality. They are known for their customer-first approach and comprehensive insurance solutions. They are seeking a highly experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager who is self-driven and capable of managing the entire renewal process for small to mid-market business accounts.
In this role, you will be expected to work autonomously, handling every aspect of the renewal process from start to finish, including conducting pre-renewal meetings, making policy changes, re-marketing policies to carriers, and processing certificates and endorsements.
This role is ideal for someone with a background in managing smaller, highly transactional commercial accounts and experience with online rating tools, Epic, and Indio. After six months of strong performance, a partially remote work arrangement may be earned, but this is not a fully remote role.
Commercial Insurance Account Manager Job Responsibilities
- Manage full renewal process from A to Z, including pre-renewal meetings, client consultation, policy changes, re-marketing, and binding policies.
- Process certificates, endorsements, and other policy documentation.
- Handle a desk of approximately 600 small commercial accounts, primarily in industries such as transportation, contractors, logging, and hospitality.
- Operate independently with minimal involvement from producers.
- Utilize online rating systems and agency management software, including Epic and Indio.
- Contribute to the agency’s growth and retention goals.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience managing small to mid-market commercial lines business, preferably in an independent broker environment.
- Washington State Property & Casualty license required; additional designations are a plus.
- Familiarity with Epic and online rating tools is strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to work autonomously and manage a high volume of highly transactional accounts.
- Stable work history with no job hopping.
- Must be located near one of the company’s offices or be an exceptional candidate who requires no training for a remote consideration.
