Commercial Account Executive
Compensation: $80K-$105K DOE

Our client, one of the nation’s largest and most respected insurance brokerages, specializes in providing comprehensive insurance solutions in employee benefits, commercial, and personal lines. Known for their commitment to excellence, their clients range across industries including trucking, transportation, marine, commercial real estate, manufacturing, healthcare, contractors, and non-profits. With a strong presence in the Pacific Northwest, they are seeking a Commercial Account Executive to oversee and manage a portfolio of mid- and large-market accounts.
This role involves managing approximately 60 accounts, focusing on retention, service, account development, and direct client engagement. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a high-performing team and leverage company resources such as claims, risk management, and marketing. This position also offers employer-paid medical, dental, vision, and 401k benefits.
Commercial Insurance Account Executive Job Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of mid- and large-market commercial accounts with a focus on retention and service.
- Develop client accounts through up-selling and cross-selling opportunities.
- Present product and service offerings directly to insured clients.
- Mentor and train account managers and customer service representatives.
- Collaborate with claims, risk management, and marketing resources.
- Contact clients and underwriters to resolve policy or coverage concerns and obtain necessary information.
- Place coverage with appropriate carriers while adhering to carrier binding authority guidelines.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in mid- or large-market commercial lines account management.
- 2+ years of experience as a Commercial Lines Account Executive.
- Experience in an independent agency environment (no captives, carriers, or direct writers).
- Active WA State Property & Casualty (P&C) license.
- Professional designations such as ACSR, CIC, CPCU, or CISR are preferred.
- Familiarity with AMS 360 and ImageRight systems.
- Candidates must reside in the Pacific or Mountain Time Zones (Central and Eastern Time Zone candidates will not be considered).
