Commercial Account Assistant
Compensation: $44K-$54K DOE

They are known for delivering exceptional customer service and fostering strong relationships within the community.The company is seeking a detail-oriented Commercial Account Assistant to join their team. This role is 100% service-based, with no sales, quotas, or cold calling involved. It is a crucial position that supports the efficient operation of their insurance services team, ensuring clients receive top-notch assistance and seamless communication.

Commercial Account Assistant Job Responsibilities
- Work closely with account managers to process claims, policy changes, cancellations, payments, renewals, endorsements, certificates of insurance, and proposals.
- Communicate effectively with clients via phone and email to support a positive client experience by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate and complete client and policy records in the Agency Management System (Newton) while adhering to company protocols.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion, complying with company policies and procedures.
- Process certificates and endorsements, run audits, and learn to re-market policies to carriers.
- Answer phones and assist with a variety of insurance-related tasks.
- Train in-office for the first 90 days, with the potential for a hybrid schedule based on performance, workspace suitability, and ability to work independently.
Qualifications
- Must hold an active Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance license in Washington State.
- At least 2+ years of experience in the insurance industry. Candidates with captive agency experience (e.g., Farmers, State Farm, Allstate, American Family) are welcome but should be prepared for a service-focused role that involves significant data entry, phone work, processing, and policy remarketing.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Must reside within 3 miles of the office location.
- Stable job history; no frequent job changes.
