Benefits Administrator / Processor
Compensation: $23-$30/hr DOE
Location: Spokane, WA
Our client is a well-established provider of employee benefits, benefits administration software, and HR services. The company has expanded to offer group medical, dental, vision, and life coverage for small businesses and associations. They also provide third-party HR solutions for companies needing part-time HR support. To support their growing operations, they are seeking a Benefits Administrator / Processor to manage data processing, benefits administration, and policy renewals.
Benefits Administrator Job Responsibilities
- Process and manage benefits administration tasks, including open enrollments and policy binding.
- Oversee the full renewal process, ensuring smooth communication between clients and carriers.
- Create and maintain accurate spreadsheets, including carrier rate verification.
- Assist in developing marketing and presentation materials for client use.
- Work with fully funded/insured accounts using carriers such as Unit Healthcare, Premera, and Regence.
- Maintain data accuracy and perform detailed processing in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Must have a stable work history (no more than three jobs in the last ten years).
- Washington Life & Health / Disability license required.
- Strong attention to detail and experience in data processing (background in mortgage loan processing or insurance processing preferred).
- Prior experience working with small group benefits in an agency setting is required.
- Must be comfortable with an internally focused administrative role; promotion path leads to an Account Manager position.
- Seeking candidates who do not want a sales role.
- Candidates must reside within five miles of the office and be willing to work fully in-office (no remote work).
