Shop Technician | $18-$42/hr DOE
Location: Tacoma, WA
Our client, a full-service dealership offering repair, parts, and maintenance services for heavy machinery, cranes, and forestry equipment, is currently seeking a skilled Shop Technician.
If you have 2-5 years of experience working with construction or forestry equipment, possess excellent communication skills, and can deliver complex repairs in a timely manner, this might be the opportunity for you.
Shop Technician Job Responsibilities
- Carry out complex repairs on construction and forestry equipment, ensuring work is completed efficiently and within expected time frames.
- Utilize laptop computers and scan tools for diagnostic processes, and troubleshoot various heavy equipment product lines.
- Read and interpret schematics (both electrical and hydraulic) to understand equipment systems and carry out repairs.
- Provide professional customer service, effectively communicating with customers as needed.
- Maintain own set of hand tools, up to 1.5 inches in size.
Qualifications
- 2-5 years of experience working with construction or forestry equipment.
- Proficient in using laptop computers and scan tools for diagnostic processes.
- Skilled in reading and interpreting schematics (both electrical and hydraulic).
- Excellent communication skills, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check as part of the hiring process.
- Proficiency with basic computer software and comfortable using an iPad.
- Must own hand tools, up to 1.5 inches in size.
