Technical Specialist | $65K-$85K DOE
Location: Preston, WA
Our client, a provider of bearing and motion solutions, is looking for a Technical Specialist to review complete order packages from high-level customers, which can contain up to 100 highly technical products from various suppliers. The successful candidate will evaluate products, applications, and pricing, engage suppliers, and use this information to assemble the next group.
The Technical Specialist will also communicate and work with customer representatives to support the company’s work with key accounts and collaborate with the Technical Sales and Marketing Manager. The role requires a combination of administrative, technical, organizational, and sales skills.
Technical Specialist Job Responsibilities
- Review and evaluate complete order packages from high-level customers
- Engage suppliers and use their expertise to assemble the next group of products
- Use engineering and technical knowledge/ability to evaluate products, applications, and pricing
- Work closely with customer representatives and the Technical Sales and Marketing Manager
- Utilize Excel skills for data analysis and management
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or relevant field plus 2 years of relevant experience, or 6 years of experience in a technical field
- Strong technical education or experience
- Ability to understand engineering, drawings, and specifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Detail-oriented and highly organized
