[Pneumatic Equipment] Service Technician | $28-$34 DOE
Location: Kent, WA
As an Equipment Service Technician, you will be an integral part of a skilled team, responsible for servicing and repairing everything from simple air tools to complex machinery like hoists, winches, hydraulics, lifting cylinders, and even ship capstans.
This role requires expertise in working with high-pressure hydraulic systems, as the pressures often reach 10K psi and can go up to 40K psi. In addition to working on pumps, you will also handle related and supporting parts, including rigid and flexible hoses, fittings, and mountings. The ability to adapt quickly to emergencies, such as a truck arriving with a large machine in need of urgent repair, is essential.
Pneumatic Equipment Technician Job Responsibilities
- Service and repair a wide range of hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, from simple air tools to complex machinery like hoists, winches, and lifting cylinders.
- Work on pumps and related components, including hoses, fittings, and mountings.
- Troubleshoot and resolve scheduled maintenance tasks, as well as unexpected emergency repairs, often requiring immediate attention.
- Collaborate effectively with a team of skilled technicians to ensure timely and accurate repairs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are in proper working condition.
- Utilize your expertise in high-pressure hydraulic systems to diagnose and address issues that arise.
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients regarding repair status and recommendations.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience working on high-pressure hydraulic systems, with pressures reaching up to 40K psi.
- Familiarity with large industrial equipment and pumps, particularly within the marine, timber, and construction industries.
- Strong organizational skills and reliability, with a steady and methodical approach to work.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and handle emergency repair situations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in troubleshooting and repairing equipment.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with a focus on providing outstanding customer service.
- Relevant certifications or training in hydraulic and pneumatic systems are preferred.
