[Industrial Products] Applications Engineer

Compensation: $60K-$100K DOE

Location:   Vancouver, WA

Our client’s company is a leading manufacturer of severe-duty pumps, serving a wide range of industries with highly specialized solutions. With a small, dedicated team, the company offers the stability of a well-established organization combined with the agility of a close-knit group. This role is an exciting opportunity to join a five-person team that largely operates remotely, while this position will be based in-office Monday through Friday. The Applications Engineer role provides excellent growth potential for someone ready to combine technical expertise with customer-focused problem-solving.

As an Applications Engineer, you’ll play a critical role as the first point of contact for customers seeking product adaptations, new solutions, or service-related assistance. The position involves a blend of engineering expertise and sales, ensuring that every product meets specifications, is accurately designed, and is ready for application. You’ll work extensively with technical data, schematics, CAD drawings, and overseas suppliers to deliver the right solution every time.

Industrial Applications Engineer Job Responsibilities


  • Serve as the primary contact for established customers regarding product modifications, new products, and service issues.
  • Review technical specifications, drawings, and customer requirements to ensure suitability and accuracy.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, including overseas foundries, for parts and modifications.
  • Utilize CAD tools and technical data to design and adapt pump systems to customer needs.
  • Calculate and interpret data such as specific gravity and flow rates to deliver optimal solutions.
  • Manage stock needs, ensure product readiness, and confirm sales details.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve unique challenges that require engineering investigation and expertise.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with diverse teams, suppliers, and customers.

Qualifications


  • Engineering or technical degree, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Ability to work independently and achieve targeted outcomes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Technical curiosity and an eagerness to learn and adapt.
  • Effective communication skills across diverse teams and cultures.
  • Experience or familiarity with slurry or similar processing systems is highly advantageous.
