5-Axis Machinist | $32-$42/hr

Our client is seeking a highly skilled 5-axis CNC mill machinist/programmer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for running prototype and one-off projects on high speed vertical and horizontal mills, utilizing cutting edge technology to create precise components for a wide range of industries including aerospace, naval, heavy equipment, and energy production.

5-Axis Machinist Job Responsibilities

• Set up complex jobs on 5-axis CNC mills (DMG Mori DMU 210P and others) using Siemens NX
• Check parts per specifications and maintain tolerances of +.0005
• Consult with engineering and design on job planning
• Bring ideas to the table for continual improvements in machining practices
• Prove out new processes in machining for prototyping and research and development

Qualifications

• High level of skill in 5-axis CNC milling and programming
• Experience setting up and running complex jobs on 5-axis CNC mills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain tolerances of +.0005
• Knowledge of Siemens NX (or similar)
• Ability to work in a team and consult with engineering and design on job planning
• Open minded and willing to take on new challenges and prove out new processes in machining
• Knowledge of Siemens NX (or similar)
