[HVAC / Security Systems] Business Manager

Compensation: $95K-$120K DOE

Location:   Renton, WA

At our client’s company, a leader in the HVAC and security controls and systems industry, we’re seeking a talented and experienced Business Manager. This critical role plays a vital part in managing a variety of teams and processes, ensuring smooth operations and optimizing service delivery.

Business Manager Job Responsibilities


  • Manage dispatch, Project Administrator, and Warehouse teams.
  • Enforce metrics for Service Management and Project Administration.
  • Maintain proper communication with the field, sales, and management personnel.
  • Provide training on company systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Verify all service work orders are completed and closed regularly.
  • Ensure all service agreements are scheduled and provide monthly reports.
  • Facilitate management of company properties in Washington State.
  • Perform monthly progress billings for projects.
  • Ensure job tax schedules and certified payroll rates are accurate and updated.
  • Oversee purchasing and tracking of equipment and parts for services and projects.
  • Provide general administrative support for the branch.
  • Manage and advise on hiring, training, development, allocation, and performance assessment of personnel within areas of responsibility.
  • Organize and manage regular internal company events and community outreach.

Qualifications


  • 2-year business degree and 7 plus years related work experience preferred including technical commercial building services or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Products – Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret financial statements and reports.
  • Experience with commercial new construction, retrofit, and service contracts.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and willingness to accept responsibility and accountability.
  • Good organizational and planning skills.
